Motoko Kusanagi [ Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex]
Made using a combination of garment weight pleather and 4-way stretch spandex to get the desired fit. The body suit was made in two parts with a connecting zipper at the waist to keep the body taut. The lower section was made with an articulated fit to ensure a sleek, form fitted look in most any pose. The jacket was make from pleather, foam, Worbla, plastic and metal details. The shoulder pauldrons are connected by two bolts running through the front and back with padding on the inside to prevent any irritation to the body. The gloves were made from scratch, and the boots were modified from an existing pair of boots. Overall this costume was very tricky because of the mixture of different stretch rate in the variety of materials.
The Seburo C26a was made from EVA foam stacked in layers, then carved and shaped. Base template was made using scale drawings of a P-90 and an overlapping Seburo model to fit. The gun was cut, shaped and detailed using a coping saw, dremel and hand sanding. The foam was then covered in epoxy resin and primed with KiltZ, painted satin black and buffed matte with 000 Steel wool in the lower section.
