Kuroyukihime [ Accel World ]

Made for my customer representing ACP at NYCC. This costume included both the clothing and the full wing set.  The top was made from black upholstery vinyl together with boning and a built in bra.  The top is supported by two clear straps around the neck and around the rib while attached to lace shorts keep the lower half from shifting.  The skirt was made from satin and organza that were tacked up for a more full draped look.   (Silver butterflies were cut but are not present in mannequin shots )

Wings were made from 10 gauge aluminum wire frames with stretched organza.  Black trim was added for the outline and striations held down by a mixture of iron-on adhesives and glue.  The large pink sections were pink fabric spray mounted to plastic sheeting and attached to the wings for both stability and mount points.  Two stabilizer were added to the back of the wings via the mounting points and Velcro, preventing the weight of the wings from tipping forward and back.   Four bolts and wing nuts running through a shaped piece of plexiglass attached the wings to the costume by using the existing clear straps as mount points.
