Inumuta Houka [Kill La Kill]
This is by far one of the more difficult costumes I've had to make so far because of the 3D triangle detailing found on the jacket hem and collar. The costume was made from white spandex with a mild liquid sheen. The triangle details were made with a base of cut foam with silver PVC stretched and sewn down taut to make them clean.
The glowing wires at the back and in between the legs was made sewing 3mm EL wire in rows with clear vinyl and clear thread until I got the desired thickness. The ones on the arms were made using the same 3mm wire but were folded three times and spun together using clear thread. Each of the pouches contains an individual power source and connecter for each set of lights. Lights from the leg were extended to the waist band where a small tight pouch at the back of the pants accommodated a power source to keep the jacket and pants independent.
