Hakutaku [Hoozuki no Reitetsu]
This ancient Chinese Hakutaku costume was made with very light flowing satin to help emphasize the traditional and elegant look of the character. The body was made in white with the ruffled layers attached at the sleeves and a padded layer at the neck to simulate a second under layer. The under skirt was cut in the shape of a full circle skirt, but made with a longer train but shorter front to enable a majestic drape. The waist band was made to match the front trim and a red organza scarf was sewn with thin floral wire at the edges so that it would hold its shape more clearly during photoshoots.
Costume is based on a smattering of official artworks and fan art designs of the same outfit.
