[Final Fantasy XIV : A Relm Reborn]  Shikaree Bard

The most challenging Final Fantasy XIV costume I have made to date and one of the most detailed and labor intensive costumes I've made thus far.  Although the techniques and application are relatively simple steps, the amount of time required to do them all was staggering.  The body of the jacket was quilted  with a padded layer in-between, followed my multiple layers of silver pvc applique.  Material for the waist sash was tea stained to give an off white color for contrast with the white design which was cut out and appliqued down.  The large belt was pre-curved for fit and the belt buckle was hand made due to its large size.  The silver belt was woven from six strands of sewn pvc.   Pants were made with quilted silver designs and the lower half was made with stretch material to ensure a snug fit.  The dress shirt was made sleeveless to cut down on layers and design was thrown into the back for aesthetic reasons.  The top was finished off with a pearled bow that slips on over the jacket collar.

The costume was commissioned for the US fan event in Vegas, If you happened to have a picture I would love to get some.
