Elise Lutus [ Tales of Xillia]
This Elise dress was made with hand gathered ruffles to ensure the costume as full as possible. Designs were appliqued down to the bodice but the tail ends left hanging to allow more movement in the design when worn. The multi-petal skirt was attached to the inner dress to make putting it on a fuss free affair. The collar was hand gathered tight and then attached to the neck line to allow the ruffles to stay stand for that royal look.
Bolero top was single layered but interfaced for the applique detailing along the front and back. On each sleeve, there is a short slit opening while a gold button was attached to the wrist to allow a tighter fit on the arms. The boot covers were made to be slipped on over a pair of black shoes that the commissioner owned, and employed the same techniques and approaches as the rest of the costume. Model in the picture is a stand-in for the commissioner.
